Who is it for:
Anyone

Venue:
Online using Zoom.

This is 1:1 psychotherapy that uses Mindfulness Meditation in combination with Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic theoretical concepts and elements of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
I have Masters degrees in both Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Approaches so I feel ideally placed to offer therapy that uses both methodologies.
By using a combination of TA theoretical concepts and Mindfulness awareness of working with the body in the moment, clients have found it really helpful. This way of working is particularly helpful when in stressful situations, overwhelmed by anxiety, feeling emotionally overloaded and having difficulty managing past traumas.
"Reflecting on your childhood experiences can help you make sense of your life. Since the events of your childhood can’t be altered…a deeper self-understanding can help change who you are... This helps you understand others more fully and gives you the possibility of choosing your behaviours and opening your mind to a fuller range of experiences."

The aim is to learn about and use Mindfulness to assist you in taking better care of yourself and get the most out of living. People who use daily mindfulness meditations and exercises in their life report lasting physical and psychological benefits such as: an increased ability to relax, greater energy and enthusiasm for life, heightened self-confidence and an increased ability to cope more effectively with stressful situations.

The idea is to find new ways to handle challenging feelings, moods, social interactions and even physical sensations.

Mindfulness therapy can be a good option for people who don’t like to take antidepressants for a long time. According to British researchers, such therapy is effective in preventing the reoccurrence of depression over a two-year period.
At present and for the foreseeable future these sessions take place on-line so you will need to contact Jules prior to booking to get a Zoom link.
